Pregnancy Sign

If you are trying to get pregnant you might be feeling very impatient to know if you have successfully become pregnant or not. That waiting time, although only a short few weeks, seems to take forever until you can finally do a test to know for sure whether you have a little baby growing inside you.

So while you are waiting and wondering, here are some early pregnancy signs that might interest you:

Lightheadedness – I remember with my third pregnancy I wasn’t actually trying to get pregnant at the time and so I wasn’t really looking out for symptoms, however one day when I was on my feet all day I started feeling quite lightheaded and had to sit down and that is when I started getting my suspicions.  I then started doing the math and realised that my period was a few days late (which was very unusual as I was always regular to the day).  The next day I went and did a pregnancy test and sure enough it was positive.  So if you are feeling unusually lightheaded then that could be a symptom that you are pregnant.

Nausea or morning sickness – another early pregnancy sign is morning sickness or nausea and contrary to what the name says, morning sickness can actually occur at any time of the day and for some women can go on all day long.  Some women will physically vomit with morning sickness while others will just have the nausea feeling.

Missed period – if your periods are regular then if you are a few days late this could be a sign that you are pregnant.  If you do not have regular periods or have just come off the pill then this might not be an indication of being pregnant.

Tender breasts – one sign that many people do have quite early is tenderness of the breasts.  Breast size will usually increase during pregnancy also, but the tenderness is the symptom that can occur early into the pregnancy.

Frequent urination – the need to go to the toilet much more often is another pregnancy sign that can start quite early on in the pregnancy so if you notice  the need to urinate frequently then this could be an indication that you are pregnant.

Change in mood – mood swings and irritability can also be a sign that you are pregnant as the changing of hormones happening in your body are enough to send anyone into an irritable mood.

Spotting – it is quite common for women to have some spotting at the time when their period would have occured.  This is only spotting and much lighter than a normal period.  You shouldn’t spot anymore after this spotting has finished and if you do you should see your doctor straight away.

These are the main pregnancy signs but not all women will suffer from them.  You may suffer from just some of these symptom or all of the symptoms.  If you have any symptoms at all and suspect that you might be pregnant, then I recommend visiting your GP soon to find out for sure whether you are pregnant or not.

If you are pregnant, I wish you all the best for your pregnancy and for a healthy baby that will bring lots of joy into your life.
